Gastronomy

During your stay you can enjoy some great homemade food, starting from the morning breakfast buffet that can be enjoyed in the garden. ‘Ivana’s Morning Inn’ offers daily home cooked meals prepared mainly from its own produce. Everything is healthy and natural, from the fresh ingredients and locally grown seasonal vegetables, to the home made olive oil and vinegar. Here you can taste many authentic Dalmatian specialties , from the “pršut” (world-known smoked ham), excellent cow or sheep cheeses and traditional freshly baked bread, to one of the most popular Croatian dishes: meat, potatoes and vegetables baked under the “peka” spiced up with some typical herbs from the family garden. No meal would be complete without a glass of good homemade wine, made from grapes from the family vineyard. The quality and authenticity of the food is definitely another bonus that makes this property worth visiting and that will make you want come back.

‘Ivana’s Morning Inn’ offers plenty of reasons to get out and spend time outdoor. The guests can enjoy walking, cycling, horse riding or fishing. Visitors can explore the surrounding countryside, admire the scenery, wander around the gardens, rest at the strategically placed tables and benches or relax by the small pool with a good book. The entire property is well kept and full of lovely details which reflect the owners’ passion for the land and their heritage as well as their hospitality and care for the guests. Depending on the season, visitors can also participate in some authentic, refreshing activities. In spring, they can join picking fresh asparagus and other wild herbs, in summer you can participate in fruit and nuts harvesting. In late September or early October the traditional joint work grape harvest is organized on the estate. On clear nights throughout the year astronomical observations are organized for all those interested to see how the stars look like in this part of the word. Sometimes they last all night long, with an experienced astronomer at your hand ready to answer all your questions. And if you’d like to take the opportunity and learn something new while you’re on holiday, for one day you can even join our cooking classes and learn how to prepare some traditional Dalmatian dishes or homemade marmalade.
